Flight to Charlotte forced to land due to 'electrical odor' – WSOC TV

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — American Airlines Flight 608 was forced to land at Jacksonville International Airport after smoke was reported in the cockpit.
WSOC-TV's sister station Action News reported the plane landed safely at 11:16 a.m. The flight was headed from Orlando to Charlotte and was forced to land in Jacksonville.
American Airlines told Channel 9 that the flight was diverted to Jacksonville due to a mechanical issue and there was an electrical odor in the cabin.
The Airbus A321 with 126 passengers and a crew of six landed safely. The airline said it was working to get the passengers to North Carolina as soon as possible.
