Brandon, Florida -- A fight between two men turns deadly at a Brandon apartment complex.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies said four people were inside one apartment at Asprey Apartments at 1220 Astor Commons Place, when two of them started fighting each other.
The victim, 32-year-old Travis Ware stumbled out of the apartment and walked several yards away before he collapsed. He left a trail of blood. When deputies arrived Ware was transported to a local hospital. Ware later died from his injuries.
HCSO said the other two witnesses said the other man involved in the fight ran away. He has been identified as 51-year-old Ralph Leon Pearson.
10 News found out Pearson has a long violent criminal history, including burglary, drugs and weapon possession.
HCSO Colonel Donna Lusczynski said the public is not at risk despite their search for Pearson. She said the deputy presence at the scene will keep the complex safe.
She also said both the victim and Pearson possibly lived in different apartments inside the complex.
