FFXIV server maintenance will be starting soon and it is going to last for 24 hours until Patch 6.1 becomes available for all worlds. During this period, you will not be able to log in to your world and play Final Fantasy XIV.
Finally, the time has come for the deployment of Patch 6.1 in Final Fantasy XIV. This is going to be the game’s biggest update since the launch of the Endwalker expansion, delivering new story quests, community-asked changes, bug fixes, tons of new housing stuff, and more.
Unfortunately, this update requires long maintenance and backend changes, which is going to prevent you from playing Final Fantasy XIV for an entire day. Below, you can check out the exact maintenance schedule with the start and end times.
FFXIV Server Maintenance on April 11 and April 12 for Patch 6.1
According to an official blog post by Square Enix, all worlds in Final Fantasy XIV will be down for 24 hours from April 11 at 3 am PDT/6 am EDT/10 am UTC/9 pm AEDT until the same time on April 12. This is a huge maintenance time, but apparently, it is required for implementing all the changes and new content coming with Patch 6.1.
Once the maintenance is over, the new update will be available for all players. Keep in mind that the maintenance could be extended if anything unexpected happens.
With Patch 6.1, the developers will deliver some new questlines as well as some new chapters for New Game Plus. Moreover, the new update will bring new purchasable properties, new decorations, new craftable items, and some essential bug fixes.
Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PS4, PS5, and PC. You can purchase it digitally from PS Store or Steam.
