Brother's A Tale of Two Sons remake
Brother's A Tale of Two Sons remake coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC on February 28, 2024. This one looks like a complete remake rather than a remaster with a pretty serious graphical upgrade from the original.Pony Island 2: Panda Circus
We saw a trailer for Pony Island 2: Panda Circus, the next game from Daniel Mullins Games. The trailer was suitably weird, and it looks like the game will bounce between genres, graphical styles, and tone with abandon. Daniel Mullins previous titles include The Hex, Inscryption, and of course, the original Pony Island. The Rise of the Golden Idol
A trailer for The Rise of the Golden Idol, coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Netflix. Yeah you read that last part right, this is the latest in Netflix's push into the games industry. It was a CGI trailer that showed off some conspiracy/mystery vibes, with clues on a noticeboard and red string everywhere. You know the classic detective visual.Usual June
Trailer for Usual June, coming in 2025 - Platforms unconfirmed. Looks like a supernatural mystery with a unique animation style — kinda reminiscent of the Spiderverse movies. We see spooky ghosts, monsters, and that red string detective board makes its second appearance in two trailers, which suggests we’ll be investigating spooky goings on, as well as hitting them with sticks.Arkknights: Endfield
Trailer for Arkknights: Endfield - PS5 and PC only confirmed at this time (boooooo). Looks kinda cool, so hopefully it does make its way to Xbox at some point down the line. Combat and visuals looks like it took notes from Nier Automata, thought it seems to be a more conventional squad-based JRPG.Harmoinium: The Musical
Trailer for Harmoinium: The Musical - coming to Game Pass and Netflix. Adorable looking game about a deaf girl who gets transported to a magical world through a book. One for the Disney musical fans judging from the style.Windblown
Trailer for Windblown - coming to PC early 2024 in open access. The new game from the creator's of Dead Cells. Looks like Dead Cells had a baby with Castle Crashers, and I'm here for it. Multiplayer, isometric camera, fast-paced combat all with a gorgeous art style. Hopefully it comes to Xbox down the line, but nothing confirmed.Thrasher
railer for Thrasher - coming 2024. Thrasher is the latest game from the developers of Thumper, and it looks gorgeous. Platforms not mentioned in the trailer.Persona 3 Reload
Trailer for Persona 3 Reload - coming to Xbox and Game pass on Feb 2, 2024. Not really news, we knew this was coming, but a cool trailer nonetheless.Chris Judge kills Infinity Ward
Not an announcement, but Chris Judge came out and said that his speech last year was longer than this year's Call of Duty campaign. Ouch baby, very ouch.Matthew Mcconaughey announces Exodus
Matthew Mcconaughey comes out to announce he's voicing a character in a new game called Exodus. Game is being developed by Austin-based studio Archetype Entertainment. Matthew mentions that time moves differently in the game for you than it does for others. Basically, he's doing Interstellar again.Exodus itself is a sci-fi game with aliens, big robots, spaceships, and combat. We got a CGI trailer with some gameplay at the end Your character travels at light speed and time dilation means he loses everyone he knew and loved, as days passed for him and years went by around him. It looks very pretty, and very Destiny meets Mass Effect. Coming to Xbox alongside PS5 and PC. No release date given.
God of War 2 Ragnorok Valhalla DLC
God of War 2 Ragnorok Valhalla free DLC announced, coming December 12, 2023. One for the PlayStation fans.Big Walk
Big Walk announced, coming in 2025. Next game from the makes of Untitled Goose Game. You play as a weird Pingu-looking thing and explore the wilderness. Honestly, this looks so weird and I'm so into it. Words will not convey it. Watch the trailer haha. The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Trailer for The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Cool trailer, but not really any new info here. Still, can't wait for this one, we played a bit at Rezzed earlier this year and it was awesome.Lego Fortnite
Lego Fortnite gets its official trailer reveal - a new survival game mode. ll the charm of the Lego games and the popularity of Fortnite. This could be hugely popular and it's clearly aimed at capturing some of that sweet sweet Minecraft audience.Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2
After a live performance of one of the songs from the game, we get a trailer for Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. It looks stunning!. We see a lot of gorgeous scenery and finally glimpse some combat, which looks similar to the first game's system. We get a 2024 release window, but nothing more specific yet. Coming to Xbox, PC, and Game Pass.Kemuri
Ikumi Nakamura (of The Evil Within & Ghostwire: Tokyo fame) comes out to announce her new game, called Kemuri. After some thanks on stage, we get a trailer. Big Spiderverse vibes from the trailer (again with the Spiderverse stylings, must be an amazing movie or something?). It doesn't show much beyond cool people doing some wall running, but I like the vibes. No Rest for the Wicked
Trailer for No Rest for the Wicked - coming to Xbox and PS5. Next game from Moon Studios (Ori and the Blind Forest). It's got pirates, stormy seas, religious overtones, and horrible monsters that look straight out of The Witcher. It's a very different style to Ori, seems more like Diablo, but it looks fantastic. More info coming in March, apparently.Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Accolades trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Game came out today, makes sense.Gonzo is here
Apparently a big Zelda fan, what a guy.Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Shinobi and more
Sega sees your game announces, and raises you all the game announces. Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Shinobi and more in development. Some brief gameplay of Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi, and they both look banging. Hype train is leaving the station.Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero trailer starts charging its attack, will finish at the end of the show. Coming to Xbox, PS5, and PC.The Casting of Frank Stone
Trailer for The Casting of Frank Stone, a "cinematic horror experience" set in the Dead by Daylight universe (which is every horror universe, right?). We get a CGI trailer, lots of recognisable DBD stuff. Hooks, groups of survivors, creepy sky stabby arms. Looks cool. Developed by Supermassive Games, coming to Xbox among other platforms.Visions of Mana
Visions of Mana announced for Xbox, PS5, Switch, and PC. JRPG with real-time combat. A returning series, my lack of JRPG knowledge fails me here, will ask the weebs and report back, but it looks cool. Coming in 2024.Rise of the Ronin
Trailer for Rise of the Ronin. Another Sony Studios one, developed by Team Ninja. Looks cool. How dare they have cool games not on Xbox? Was announced last year, but now we have a release date. Coming March 22, 2024.The Outlast Trials
We get a trailer for The Outlast Trials. Looks made for Twitch streamers to scream at more than a game to be played. Multiplayer, DBD style game by the looks of it. Players hiding from monsters. Trailer was obnoxious, but the game might be cool. Coming March 5, 2024 to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, weirdly.OD
Hideo Kojima reveals his Xbox game trailer, called OD. It's weird. You knew it was gonna be weird. I'm not even going to try and explain it. Watch the trailer. We see some incredibly realistic recreations of actors disembodied heads talking about purple dinosaurs. Cool, I'm in.Kojima comes out, hugs Geoff (probably a contractually obliged hug). Kojima shared a bit about the game, says it's ground-breaking, uses "cloud gaming tech" from Xbox. It's a game, but it's a movie, but it's both.
But wait, there's more. Jordan Peele comes out to spooky music, looks like he's collaborating with Kojima for the game.
Jurassic Park Survival
Jurassic Park Survival announced. Those crazy sons of b*****s, they did it. It's a first-person survival game set on Isla Nublar. Looks a lot like Jurassic Park Trespasser, but done right. Also looks terrifying. Coming to Xbox, PS5, and PC.Rocket Racing for Fortnite
It's a Fortnite racing game event with Rocket League cars. Fortnite is going to be every game at some point, the event horizon from which content can't escape. But yeah, looks neat.Black Myth Wukong
Black Myth Wukong release date revealed in a new trailer. Coming August 20, 2024. Brief glimpses of some epic boss fights and chase sequences amongst the cutscenes.Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League gets yet another trailer. Excellent song choice with Gorillaz' Clint Eastwood. Beyond that, it's more Suicide Squad. Recent previews have been positive. I've still got bad feeling about this, but I'm happy to be wrong.Warframe: Whisper in the Walls
Warframe has had more updates than I've had hot meals at this point, but if any game deserves to live forever, it's Warframe. This one is called Whisper in the Walls, coming December 13.Starfield
Starfield accolades trailer that I swear we've seen before. Just a reminder that Starfield exists, as far as I can tell. Nice message at the end though.Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden shows off "Death to the Dead" trailer. Reaffirms the Feb 13, 2024 release date. No new info here, but it's a cool trailer of this upcoming game from Don't Nod. Pirates, spooky goings on and a hint of Shadow of the Colossus from the story.Ready or Not
Ready or Not trailer - it's pretty vague. Asks if we're ready? I'm certainly ready for more info. This is the SWAT team tactical shooter that's been kicking up some controversy. Only confirmed for Steam, coming in December.Tales of Kenzera
Tales of Kenzera revealed, coming April 23, 2024. It's a new EA Original. It's a single-player action-adventure platformer "inspired by Surgent Studios founder and BAFTA-nominated actor Abubakar Salim’s own personal journey dealing with the loss of his father". The world is inspired by Bantu tales and folklore. It looks beautiful graphics, with slick platforming and some flashy combat. Coming to Xbox and other platforms.Lost Records: Bloom & Rage
Next up with get a trailer for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, the latest game coming from Life is Strange developers DON'T NOD. Supernatural elements at the forefront - it kinda reminds me of Stranger Things. Just a CGI trailer for now, so hard to glean much else beyond vibes. Saying the word vibes a lot today, need to look up synonyms for that. The First Berserker: Khazan
The First Berserker: Khazan trailer. Geoff calls out the cartoony art style, but it's like, a serious cartoon where everything is grim. It's an action game with combat on the God of War spectrum. Looks very cool. Coming to Xbox, PS5 and PC. No release date given.Final Fantasy/Apex Legends crossover
Oh my god, something that isn't Fortnite crossover. Final Fantasy stuff is coming to Apex Legends, we got a CGI trailer, but not much detail.Skull and Bones
Skull and Bones gets a release date. Coming February 16. Insert Anchorman "I don't believe you" GIF here. This game has been delayed about 800 times, but it looks like it's finally coming out. Closed beta coming in December, registrations open now. More details on how to sign up at Xbox Wire.Marvel's Blade
Marvel's Blade game coming to Xbox... and maybe PS5? Arkane Lyon working on this. Not confirmed as an exclusive yet. Just a CGI trailer. Set in Paris, it's a third-person action adventure game. Seems like it's early in development, but we're hyped.Twisted Metal is getting a season 2 on Peacock
Anthony Mackie comes out to present an award, shout at the crowd, and announces Twisted Metal season 2.Last Sentinel
Last Sentinel revealed - debut game from Lightspeed LA. It's a futuristic open-world game. The CGI trailer showed off robot cops smashing their way into a sanctuary, before getting wrecked by "The Demon". Presumably that's you, and you appear to be a motorbiking gun-totting ninja. The cyberpunk city looks stunning, can't wait to see more. The First Descendant
The First Descendant gets a trailer and summer 2024 release date. Tom interviewed the devs for this earlier this year, and got us pretty hyped. This trailer has built that hype event more, showing off jetpacking soldiers fighting robot titans.Zenless Zone Zero trailer
Anime style, big robots, laser beams.Mecha Break trailer
Fast-paced multiplayer mech combat game. Looks pretty sick. Coming to Xbox and PS5, with a closed alpha test soon.Helldivers 2 trailer
Another Sony Studios game, and definitely one for the Starship Troopers fans. Coming Feb 8, 2024.Space Marine 2 trailer and release date
September 9, 2024. A hefty delay considering it was supposed to be this year, but at least we have a fixed date. For the Emperor.Old Gods of Asgard perform Herald of Darkness live
The best bit of Alan Wake 2, live. Fantastic. They even got both Alan Wake actors out so they could have his voice and face.GTFO The Final Chapter gets a trailer
This cooperative horror shooter was announced back at the 2017 Game Awards, and this is the final chapter. The developer has come out, looks like they have more to announce...Den of Wolves announced with CGI trailer
New sci-fi game by 10 Chambers, coming to PC only so far.Trailer for Exoborne
Upcoming sci-fi extraction shooter, CGI trailer. Too many CGI trailers. It's coming to Xbox, PS5, and PC but no release date.Asgard's Wrath 2 gets a trailer introduced by Loki voice actor Matt Mercer
In-engine trailer? Praise the lord.Meta Quest only game? Why do the gods betray me?
Coming December 15, 2023.
Fallout TV series trailer
They said the line! We get some quick clips of the show and then a load of the actors come out, bodyguarded by a Brotherhood of Steel soldier. They announce the best adaptation award. Brotherhood of Steel guy glitches through the floor in true Bethesda style.I made that last bit up.
Trailer for Palia
Looks like cozy games meet Zelda , Heidi will be all over it if it comes to Xbox. Just Switch for now though. No Man's Sky developers announce their next game, Light No Fire
Hello Games' Sean Murray is out here talking about making something more ambitious than No Man's Sky. An open-world game that is truly open-world — a whole planet that can be freely explored.I want to say something about those who don't learn from the mistakes of the past, but this looks too cool. It's a multiplayer, fantasy game that looks a damn sight prettier than you'd expect from a (presumably) procedurally-generated world. We see our character flying on a dragon across the landscape, weather effects, different biomes and races, giant monsters, wildlife. Looks cool, and hopefully they've learned from their lessons from No Man's Sky, which is banging now, but had a rough start.
Two new Final Fantasy XVI DLC announced
They're called Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide, and we still don't get to play it on Xbox. Booooo!!!!Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus is out next week
Sneakt announcement during their acceptance speech. Can't wait to dive back in. not enough of you have played Alan Wake 2, go Remedy that situation at once!!! Get it? Ah it's nearly 4am here, my brain is broken. The Finals surprise drops on Xbox
Battlefield fans who are looking for their next fix, check out The Finals, which got a shadow drop. Tom checked out the open beta earlier this year and loved it.Monster Hunter Wilds revealed
Awwwwww yeah, it's coming... in 2025. Still, we have an Xbox confirmation (alongside PS5 and PC). The trailer showed a sandstorm chasing a character riding a feathered dinosaur mount. There were mounts in Worlds, but this looked a lot more involved and it's safe to assume that weather will play a big part too, given how prominent it was in the trailer. The Meowscular Chef better be back or we riot.
Timothee Chalamet is here to announce GOTY
Orchestra playing a medley to celebrate all the nominees, it's a nice piece. Timothee's contribution is remarkably tame considering what a big deal they made of him being here. Get him in a Kojima game with a baby on his back or something Geoff.Baldur's Gate 3 wins GOTY
Of course it does, it won everything else and by all accounts it deserves it. Hopefully we can play it soon to confirm. Speaking of which...Baldur’s Gate 3 is out now on Xbox Series X|S?
