Downed lines were cause of Indianapolis power outage

Indianapolis Power & Light is investing the cause of an outage that has left nearly 13,000 customers without power.
Around 13,000 Indianapolis Power & Light customers on the Indianapolis east side experienced a power cut mid-day Wednesday.
IPL says the outage was due to downed power lines. The outage began before noon and most customers had been restored by 2:00 pm.

IPL says the outage was mainly south of 30th Street, north of English Avenue, east of Post Road and West of Sherman Drive.
