Custom Fit in Hmapshire | Golf Monthly

on the back of this thread I booked a Driver fitting with Jason @ Golf principles. My driving is OK, but I wanted to see if a custom fit could make a difference.

I saw him this PM in Basingstoke. His workshop is a proper Aladdins Cave of golf kit (he must have at least 40-50 driver shafts and I don't know how many headsoo , there is massive net with a trackman set up and it's obvious from the off Jason really knows his stuff.

Anyway I won't bore you with the stats (probably because I've forgotten them) but suffice to say my swing speed was up because with the right shaft I was more confident to go after the ball. My ball speed was up. My spin rate was down from 3300 to 2600 which I'm told is good :thup:. Carry was up 20 yards & first hit with my current driver vs last hit with the new set up distance was up 27 yards (dispersion was a lot better too)

I'm know the proud owner of a Callway Razr Fit with a Accra z tour stiff shaft.

Obviously Christmas is cancelled this year due to lack of funds but I'm happy Definitely recommend Jason, just don't forget your plastic!!!
