Chrissy Teigen Proves Underwear Are Officially Shorts in Teeny-Tiny Corset Hot Pants

With that insightful outfit analysis out of the way, I'd like to talk about Chrissy Teigen's shorts again. The fashionable mom not only updated the popular corset trend, but added to the growing list of celebrities popularizing a piece I like to call panty shorts—and I'm not the only one.

Just before Christmas, Beyoncé wore her own high-waist hot pants: a pair of beige-toned short shorts that Prada has dubbed sequined tulle panties shorts. Panty shorts just sounds better, but either gets the point across: If tights can be pants, underwear can be shorts.

Like Chrissy Teigen, Beyoncé paired her panty shorts with a sheer top, opting for a formfitting white turtleneck and a luxe fur coat.

Teigen wore another version of the look for her own Christmas outing in NYC, pairing gray knit crop top with matching panty shorts over black tights. In the fifth slide of a recent Instagram post, she nervously rushes to the bathroom in the tiny ’fit, as someone in the background jokes, “Who’s that lady? I wonder what she’s wearing? Not much.”

Another voice adds, “She’s naked.”
