‘Call-a-thon’: Nigerian man, ‘oyinbo’ wife break record, reportedly speak on phone for 101 hours

A Nigerian, Cyprian, and his ‘oyinbo’ lover, Sarah, have stunned many on social media as they claimed to have the longest phone call by a couple with over 101 hours.

The couple announced via their TikTok page showing off video screengrabs from the call and tagged it a ‘call-a-thon’ because it lasted 101 hours, 15 minutes and 40 seconds, approximately four days and five hours.

However, it is unclear if the call was an attempt to beat the existing records of the longest telephone conversation.

The existing records for a team of two were shared between Leonids Romanovs, who was paired with Tatjana Fjodorova, and Latvian Kristaps Štãls, who was paired with Patriks Zvaigzne. They discussed a variety of social dynamics and mind power for 54 hours and four minutes.
