Britney Spears Reveals Why She Wanted to Post Those Nude Vacation Photos

Following Instagram’s guidelines on nudity (#FreeTheNipple), Spears covered all her private bits with carefully placed diamond emoji. While Spears did not speak on the rose emoji captions, they could be a nod to the Project Rose theory that many fans connected to Spears while she initially was seeking help out of her conservatorship. While we don't know for certain whether that's the reason she included them in her posts, it would be a fitting inclusion considering Spears is taking back her freedom for the first time since her conservatorship ended in November 2021.

Fans and celebrities alike have been replying to the posts with support and love, which is to be expected because one of the main tenets of the #FreeBritney movement is that she can—and should—post whatever she wants. Dynasty actor Rafael De La Fuente replied, “Live your life queen of the universe.” Paris Hilton, meanwhile, has commented on Spears's posts with a series of positive emoji.

This isn’t the first time Spears has posted nude photos of herself on her feed, of course. In October 2021 she put up an image of herself topless while covering her chest with her hands. The caption read, “What is it with consultations for body improvements ???? Is it me or is anybody else offended by these experiences … maybe I’m extremely sensitive … either way I would rather fall off a cliff 🕳 than have a doctor tell me what he thinks is wrong with my body image … lesson learned 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻!!!! Psss kiss my white ass 💋🍑👋🏻 !!!!!”
