For a few years, Netflix has been delivering a lot of anime series. It’s clearly because the streaming platform understands the popularity of anime and its huge fan base. Just recently, Netflix aired Demon Slayer, Thermae Romae Novae, Adam by Eve: A Live in Animation, Kotaro Lives Alone, and a lot more. And the list of upcoming anime on Netflix is even longer. So which anime should you wait for this year? Here’s the list of some of the best ones.

Best Anime On Netflix Coming Soon

1. Ultraman

Let’s start the list with the anime that will be among us in a few days. The new season of Ultraman will get released on April 14th, 2022. Ultraman season 2 is coming on Netflix almost three years after its season one release. If you have seen the trailer of Ultraman season 2, you will love the level of animation studio Production I.G has set in the new anime.

A boy named Shinjiro Hayata is no normal child. He has superhuman qualities, and he soon realizes that his father was Ultraman. Shinjiro becomes Ultraman himself and fights evil.

2. Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045

If you love the CGI-style animation in anime, then Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 is arguably the best Netflix anime you are going to watch this year. Season one got released in April 2020, and now, season two is set for a release on May 23rd, 2022. Watching the swaying animation of Ghost in the Shell, you will wonder about its animation studio. Well, it’s none other than Production I.G.

The story of the anime is set in the year 2045, when all types of currency have lost their value and the world is going through a sustainable war. A group of mercenaries known as “GHOST” will use their battle experience and fight the threat known as “Post Humans.”

3. Spriggan

Another great upcoming anime on Netflix is Spriggan. Based on the manga by Hiroshi Takashige, Spriggan is coming with its first season on Netflix on June 18th, 2022. The manga of Spriggan ran for a total of 11 volumes starting from 1989 to 1996. Given the years of its manga release, the anime adaptation of Spriggan is quite late. But whatsoever, fans are hyped to see the first season of the series.

A long time back, civilization was ruined after they misused their advancement in technology. But they left a message for the future generation, warning them about the consequences of the same. Armies and other strong forces are still finding a way to obtain those inventions and use them for their own benefit. But to stop them, a group of fighters known as Spriggan steps up.

4. Komi Can’t Communicate

In for some coming-of-age and slice-of-life anime? Komi Can’t Communicate is what you should be looking forward to watching. Although the series is getting released in Japan on April 7th, 2022, the Netflix release of the anime is set for April 27th, 2022. If you haven’t watched season one of the series, it’s the perfect time to start.

The show is about an introverted high school girl named Shouko Komi. She gains huge popularity in her school due to her adorable looks, but Komi isn’t able to make many friends due to her communication disorder. To help her make a total of 100 friends, Komi’s classmate, Hitohito Tadano, decides to help her.

5. Vampire In The Garden

Wit Studio is known for its exceptional work in Attack On Titan and seems like it is ready to amaze us with another anime this year. Not much information is available regarding the new anime, Vampire In The Garden, but by the looks of its trailer, it looks like something great is coming for the anime fans. You can easily tell by the trailer that Wit Studio followed the same anime style as AOT. The anime is getting released on May 16th, 2022.

Humans and vampires used to live together in peace in a place called Paradise. But now, the two species despise each other, and they are at war. A girl named Momo finds a vampire named Fine, and now the two start to co-exist again.
