You find your steady boyfriend standing over the chips and salsa table at midnight.__ Since you have a guy, be clear with him about what's important to you. If you want to be kissed at midnight and your guy says the NYE kiss is just another overrated Hallmark-type of holiday tradition, guess what you won't be celebrating on February 14th? Find a guy in the new year who will honor traditions or commitments that, even if silly, he's willing to celebrate just because you want to.
You don't remember the kiss. Time to back off the sauce. This is not a good or safe way to ring in the new year. And if he remembers the moment but you don't, he's probably not too impressed with you. Girls who can't hold their liquor are a bit of a Don't (although, no judgment! We've all been there.).
He kisses you exactly how you wanted to be kissed. This guy is in the bag. He's smitten and he's all yours! Happy 2011!
