A Kenyan man, Samuel Machuka, who allegedly left home at 41 for greener pastures, returned at 91 with just a walking stick.
Though only a few of his peers could recognize him, he was joyfully welcomed by his family in Masabo village, Nyaribari Masaba Kisii, upon his return.

Speaking to The Standard about Machuka’s return, his nephew, Robert Makomba, stated that as Seventh-Day Adventist Christians, they would not hold any rituals but would warmly receive him back home and allow him to settle.
When asked about his marital status, Machuka revealed that he had three informal marriages but did not know the whereabouts of his wives.
“Yes, I have been married before, but I can’t be able to trace any of those women. I have traversed several parts of the country in search of greener pastures,” he said.
“I have been in Makueni since the Nyayo era. I voted for all the last three Presidents and the current one while in Makueni. I have worked as a casual labourer in nearly all sub counties in the county,” he added.
