A French chateau right in downtown LA? Absolutely. The Kingsley House oozes glamour, from the dramatic spiral staircase in the front entry to the tall French doors leading out to a secluded pool and patio. This elegant property serves as a backdrop for both film and photoshoots, and it’s easy to see why. The convenient location and brightly colored rooms make it an ideal production space.

And perhaps unsurprisingly, this castle has hundreds of five-star reviews on Peerspace. It’s hard to say what exactly separates a castle from a large house. But if balconies, turrets, and sheer elegance are on the list of qualifications, then this mansion in Las Vegas, NV certainly qualifies. With over 7,800 square feet of space on five sprawling acres, there’s certainly room to stretch out.

A pool, several sports courts, a game room with a pool table, and a separate casita are all on offer here. Bonus — this may be one of, if not the only, castles you can rent that’s less than one mile from the Strip!

Ever wanted to step inside an actual gingerbread house? This “Mosaic Castle” is the next best thing. This Hollywood Hills house was originally built by movie star Mae March in 1927. By 1968, it had changed hands to George Ehling, a former wrestler, actor, movie studio carpenter, and eventual mosaic artist. Over the next 50 years, Ehling put his unique touch on the property in the form of thousands of pieces of hand-made mosaic. Walls, floors, ceilings — no other castles you can rent have something to see everywhere you look like here. Don’t miss the Hollywood sign, visible from one of the terraces. Rental includes the ground floor and all exterior areas. To really appreciate the possibilities, be sure you check out all the castle’s amazing photos on Peerspace.

Take it from one Peerspace renter who booked the castle for an epic photoshoot: “This space was great, we used it for a photoshoot and there was plenty of space for all of us to work. I feel that the space is even more grand in person but just as magical in images. Hostess was fantastic, open and incredibly easy to work with.”

This Santa Rosa, CA chateau features two massive great rooms with 25-foot ceilings and massive windows, and you’ll want every inch of that window space to take in the stunning views of Sonoma Valley and the Mayacamas Mountains.

But if that’s not quite enough eye candy, step out onto the five acres of landscaped lawn. The outdoor space also includes pools, jacuzzis, casitas, ponds, and an outdoor kitchen. Note that this castle is only for productions and not events.

This lakeside estate may look like a fortress on a hill, but the inside is cozy and bright thanks to two fireplaces, lots of big windows, and charming, homey touches. The exterior includes an orchard, a firepit, a pool, and hot tub, sports courts, and a gorgeous stone fountain. At just over 7,000 square feet, this Harriman, NY castle would be a great location for a sprawling event or a dramatic backdrop for a photoshoot.

In fact, according to a photo director who booked this space for a shoot: “Everyone at the Estate was so friendly and helpful. They strive to meet their guests needs at every turn and it really showed. The shoot went very smoothly and we were very happy with the results, all thanks to Abbe and her team.”
