Now, some may say the boy bands of today can never stack up to the originals. And I get it! I do. But as someone who recently attended a One Direction concert at my own will, I have to admit those guys are talented. And cute. And funny. They fully admit that they're a new kind of boy band—one that eschews choreography in favor of practical jokes. As 1D member Liam Payne says in our August cover interview, "We can't dance. We're a bit lazy. We're just normal lads."

The point is, One Direction is keeping the tradition going, you guys. Let's show them some respect.
